I found Frafjord...Pictures to Dream by

Managing Real Estate Broker with Windermere Peninsula Properties

I found Frafjord and I wanted to share the pictures with you. Frafjord is important to me because it is part of our family home in Norway. My great Grandpa Espedal Married Marie from Frafjord a little town down the road.If you are from Espedal or Frafjord and Have that last name then you are more than likely family.

Our family tree is old and it goes back further than you can imagine. My grandpa showed it to me one day as a kid and I was shocked at the years that I saw. In the U.S. we have about a 200 year history. That is so small compared with the rest of the planet.

Okay- enough typing here are the pictures...

Beautiful pics!   Yes as a nation we are still so very young compared to most of the rest of our world.   I have often wanted to trace back my roots that go over to England and Ireland.

Dinah—Simply stunning images. I love the reflections plus the last one where the sun is drawing water from the fjord. Ah, to be able to travel more is one of the things I want to do more. We traced our family back to Scotland and I lived in Invergordon for three months. It was pure magic - like your photos.

Very nice pictures.  There must be a lot of water in Norway?  And mountains.  I imagine living in Europe would be like living in Miami, it's great if you have plenty of money.  City life there probably isn't quite so glamorous.  You didn't really take these pictures did you Dinah?

Wow. Gorgeous pictures. I liked the third one on the left. The trim color with the reflection is the lake provided a nice contrast between nature and man.

Dinah, While all the photos are great, I really like the bottom left 2 photos. How fabulous your grandpa had the family tree to show you. It's amazing all the history you can learn just by studying that alone.

That is a beautiful town and probably has a lot of commercial fishermen.  Our Icelandic ancestors may have come from there as they sailed the Viking longboats from Norway.
