Home Builders Adapt 24-Year Old Real Estate Tradition to Current Conditions in the Home Construction Industrydenver real estate

For anyone who enjoys checking out the high-end jewels showcased in the annual Parade of Homes in Denver, get ready for a new format this summer.

The event's organizer, the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, has decided to focus on already built homes throughout Metro area, rather than building several showcase homes in one neighborhood, as has been done in the past.

"The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver is changing the format of its Parade of Homes this year in light of the current housing slump. The 2009 event will be called the Denver Luxury Home Tour, and will feature already built homes on the market for $1 million-plus located at multiple locations metrowide.

The 2009 luxury-home tour will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, June 5-July 5.

“Despite the housing slump, our association is committed to promoting our homebuilding industry, and our members felt that this approach would better serve the public as well as homebuilders,”

What a great idea! I know there's an oversupply of luxury homes from Huntington Trails in Broomfield, down to The Hidden Forest in Larkspur.   And perhaps the geographic diversity will broaden the public's knowledge of luxury enclaves tucked around town.
