Free Fire Alarms for Omaha Residents

In the month of February, Omaha firefighters installed 225 free fire alarms in North East Omaha.  One hundred and thirty five of these were installed in one day, setting a new daily record.

Due to a large number of calls that Omaha firefighters receive, they are targeting the Omaha area East of 72nd St and North of Dodge St.  If you are an Omaha resident and live in North East Omaha and do not have a fire alarm or would like yours checked, contact the Omaha fire department at 444-3560.  If you are renting a home in Omaha and need assistance, you should contact your landlord or additional assistance can be requested by calling 444-5711.

Per the National Fire Protection Association, 890 lives could be saved each year if everyone had working fire alarms.  Call today!

Hi Connie, Very good post! My Dad was a firefighter for many years. He put the fear of fire into all of us kids! Thanks for posting this!
