New studies and reports point to green building as one of the growing bright spots for the U.S. economy, according to the U.S. Green Building Council. 70% of home buyers are more or much more inclined to buy a green home over a conventional home in a down housing market,

In Chester County, the MATT FETICK REAL ESTATE TEAM, represents several green builders and communities, including homes $700k +  at Fairway Estates on Hartfeld National Golf Course built by Jeff Berlin, Pennock Greene in Kennett Square (convenient to everything Route 1 ) and priced $325k+ TMGGREENHOME BUILDERS; and The Arbours at West Goshen a 55+ community of lovely condos and carriage-style townhomes starting at $199k and $299k, respectively.

Hi Janice--

From one EcoBroker to another, it's great to see word getting out there on how much buyers perceive a green home as more desireable.  It's also nice to see that builders in your community are taking it seriously!

We have a green building association in the Truckee/Tahoe area.  It is amazing what they are able to accomplish in education.  They started more than 5 years ago, and went through some growing pains, but they really take it seriously.  I wish I had met them before I built my green house!  The resources it took me much researching to find would have been right at my fingertips!  CA is doing a great job with leading the charge.
