Is Your Loan Officer M.I.A?

By
Real Estate Technology with Virginia Beach

I can't begin to tell you how many times I run across a customer who has a story to tell about their last or current loan officer that they couldn't get a hold of.  There really is no excuse for them to not return a phone call or email to you within 24 hours.

disappear loan officer

I can vouch that things come up during the day that need our attention but are we really that busy?? That is why I always say - I WILL RETURN ALL PHONE CALLS SAME DAY! I mean what I say - and I say what I mean.  It might not be right away but it will be before I go to bed at night.

In today's market it is a roller coaster of a ride with all of the guideline changes and your mortgage consultant or loan officer needs to be there for you to keep you informed during the process.  An approval last week may not be an approval next week.

I prefer email for communication but that doesn't mean I won't call you back.  So here is my promise to you - if you haven't heard from your loan officer then contact me today for your FREE MORTGAGE CONSULTATION TODAY!

EXCELLENT NAOMA!  You are absolutely right on with this post.  Too many are MIA and thats because they banked on the rates getting better and overcommitting.  Since they can not honor their lock, they suddenly cant be reached.  I was just going to do a similar post.  nice job and I wish you the best of luck!

Cool link!  I had to come look.  I can't remember the last time I had a MIA loan officer.  Well, yes I can but he's not in the business any more.

I wish more loan officers were like you.  I'm dealing with one right now who still hasn't called me back today.  I'm still waiting.

John - post away! It gives the good ones a bad name.  I had a customer say the loan officer literally say "I lost your information"

Margaret - thanks for your tips! I was wondering how to do it and now I know!

Justin - So sorry to hear that.  I want you to know - not all loan officers do that. :) good luck!

Naoma, I use a loan officer that pulls off the impossible- closes an FHA loan in under a month. I want to be in contact with the lender and if they're MIA, that one needs to go.

David - I agree!  It is working! But I want to let customer know they don't need to settle!

Debbie - that is awesome and great that you have an efficient loan officer.  That is the way it should be!

John - Thanks! I like to think so too!
