Keep the Heat On! I showed a number of properties this weekend where the heat was either turned down or turned off! In these cold, winter months, the thermostat needs to be set at a comfortable temperature for buyers to stay long enough to look at the home. It is understandable that sellers want to keep heat costs down, especially if the property isn't occupied, but we want to invite buyers in, not keep them out!
A good temperature to set the property is at least 60 degrees. This will keep the house warm enough for buyers to stay long enough to look around and enjoy their visit. In some of the houses previewed this weekend, it was so cold that my feet felt like ice cubes. With the house inventory high, and sellers wanting their properties sold quickly, make sure to Keep the Heat On!

With programable heaters now you can easily set it to turn on at 8am and turn off at 8pm now.
