How I Know That Home Selling is a Good Fit for Me

To successfully sell something, be it a product or service, you must believe in it. If you don't, most people will see right through you. I couldn't imagine trying to sell a product or service that I thought was inferior. I also have a need to like what I'm doing and have fun with it. It goes hand in hand with the fact that I know I provide a great value to home buyers and sellers  that I have and continue to work with in Southeast Michigan.

Last year, I had the pleasure of working with a woman who desperately wanted to sell her home. She had rushed into buying the home after her divorce and wasn't happy with her neighborhood or the home. Perhaps it was a constant reminder of an unhappy chapter in her life. After about six months of being on the market with several price adjustments, the home sold. Within thirty days, we found the customer's dream home, a spacious brick ranch on one and one half acres in the City of Troy, in Oakland County, Michigan. The customer loves gardening and did not have a gardent at her old home because her yard was too small. At her new  house she could grow enough food to feed an army. We made an aggressive but fair offer on the home and the seller accepted the offer. It was truly a beautiful experience watching her happily sign the paperwork at the closing table as she was beginning a new chapter in her life. That's how you really know when you are in the right business, when you get that feeling helping someone realize a dream. If you don't get that feeling in your line of work, find something else to do.
