Whether buying or selling a home, Massachusetts has a lot to offer. The Towns of Sudbury and Concord are my home towns and they are steeped in history and the community celebrates this in many ways. Enjoy living close to the city of Boston where you can frequent some fanstastic restaurants, museums and community events. It is more beautiful than ever, now that the Big Dig is complete and the Central Artery is underground. This made way for more greening of the city. The Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston is strikingly beautiful and brings the beauty of nature to the views of the water front from the city. Now there is no traffic noise and more pedestrian traffic.....an entirely different "feel" to the waterfront and this part of the city.

Massachusetts is rich in history. With the internet, I get a lot of calls from folks who are looking for a home in remote areas of the state. So I occassionally travel to areas that are pretty far from home. From Boston to Stockbridge, you can find remnants of the past in many areas.

There is the lost town of Dana Massachusetts, parts of which disappeared, along with Prescott, Enfield and Greenwich, in order to make way for the Quabbin Reservoir that would supply water to the city of Boston. Lots of folks travel out to Dana Massachusetts, including myself, in order to walk the 2 mile stretch of road that leads to Dana Common, one of the evacuated areas. It is an eerie feeling to stand in the center of the common and take it all in; where the school house, town hall, Eagle Inn, and residences used to be, all that is left are field stone foundations. These foundations of former homes and businesses also mark the 2 mile stretch of road leading to Dana Common and walking this road is a very, profound experience.
