Question: I am looking at buying a second home in my community for investment purposes only. Several homes in the area are selling for 325K-370K. I do NOT want to finance any of the purchase; I only have 85K in cash, and that is all I want to pay. The property I am looking at is REO, and the former owners took the fixtures, etc., on the way out the door. My potential agent (who I respect) suggested that offering this amount would be an insult, and not get any response. Am I crazy for wanting to make the offer anyway and "offend" the Bank, and if/when it says "no," then simply hold the cash in this market, believing it is going to get way worse before it gets better?

Actually, it was a green, green Christmas Parade. The 47th Camarillo Christmas Parade was decidedly green this year. The theme of the parade was "A Green Christmas". Not green as in Christmas tree green, but green as is environmentally conscious green.
