Canyon Creek Elementary is proudly collecting items through December 10th. This is a tradition CCE students generously participate in every year. It is a quick two week collection which will make a difference for many local needy families! Bins are located in the hallway by the first floor elevator. Thanksgiving morning there were over 21,000 walkers, runners and trotters that showed up for the Twenty Second Annual Thundercloud Turkey Trot in downtown Austin, Texas!
The race started on the South First street bridge and continued along West Fifteenth and West Cesar Chavez and finished in front of the Long Center on Riverside Drive. The 5 mile run is the largest race in Texas.

In the Lone Star State a property tax deferral is available to taxpayers who have a senior or a disability exemption on their residential homestead. A tax deferral allows taxpayers to postpone paying their property taxes for as long as they live in their residence. However deferred taxes can become delinquent!
