Speechless Sunday! 'The Dude': well just to give you a quick background. Diane was asked by one of our neighbors to feed his cats, and do all the personal hygiene stuff for them, while he was away for a few days. She did it gladly, not expecting anything in return. Well, he called and said wanted to stop in and bring something over. Turns out he bought four bottles of red and white wine, since he knows we love our wine.

Speechless Sunday: Love the fact that our dog and cats get along... here is Jack our cat in the front and there is Holly in the back. Keep in mind this is Holly's crate:)

Almost Wordless Wednesday: Pandemic Traffic in Los Angeles, CA is over back to the same old traffic or is it? Interestingly someone who has lived close to fifteen years in Europe, I noticed that construction was always done in off hours in the middle of the night not to inconvenience the majority of the people on the road.
Well I guess Los Angeles never got the memo... during rush hour morning and in the afternoon they are happy to shut down the busy streets and on a good day limit it to one lane traffic. WHY? I have always wondered about that.

The Day after Christmas: Yes I did manage to finish the decorations, those of you who read my blog posts over the years, know that we have not had a vertical Christmas Tree in over two decades... one of our cats just loved to hug and knock the tree over.
Hence I went to the Horizontal Christmas Tree and it has been a tradition ever since....
I have loved Christmas ever since I was a little boy and now that I am an old man I still love it. Keep in mind Diane appreciates the decorations as much as I do.

Most of you know that since the Pandemic Diane has been working from home as well. So what does that mean to me? Well there is competition who can walk Holly. There are times she is busy and other times I am busy. Well lucky for me she was busy so I walked Holly for her late afternoon stroll.
As we stoped at this tree I did a double take and was wondering what kind of tree this was I never seen such a 'fruit tree' before. So with that said can you tell me what species of tree this is?

Diane & I are so worried about our pets and needless to say we read a scary article about Jerky and the damage it can do to dogs... I will write about it in more detail. Diane shared her concern with another animal lover like us and look what we received as a gift. Now we will give it to Holly and see what she thinks. Needless to say this post is dedicated to my Dad who introduced me, and thought me to appreciate nature, animals, movies and books.
This might be a lot to cover is a short post: my father took me to the movie theater when I was barely walking and had me see Jacques Cousteau’s movie about fish in the deep sea. Wells as most of you know we have three indoor cats and there is a stray we have been feeding and socializing. The hard part is done Wiley has been neutered. Sadly during the recovery process we learned that he would be difficult to turn into an indoor cat. So we are making small step in that direction. Ok by now most of you know I am an Urban Dweller with no experience with enticing nature to come to us. Diane always wanted a Hummingbird Feeder. So I ordered one and I set it up as the instructions said, keep them close to shaded areas….
I created the concoction four parts water one part sugar….
Well here we are day three and I have not see a humming bird that would approach this feeder. Diane has been anxiously waiting for them to show up. What are we doing wrong?? … (5 comments)
