Speechless Sunday: Holly went for a ride to Manhattan Beach... Diane wanted to get some special personalized cards for her friends...so with that said off we went to Pages the bookstore that has wonderful cards in their store. Holly did not want to be left behind. Hence, she left her frenemies aka the cats and joined us for the ride. Holly is very focused and regal when she goes on a ride especially to Manhattan Beach, since she loves looking at the Pacific Ocean. You might recall I wrote a couple posts about Montrose, California and specifically this cute street called Honolulu Street. Well, the real reason we went there was because Diane wanted to visit the sister bookstore of Lost Books in LA the one in Downtown Los Angeles aka DTLA. Needless to say, we were both looking forward to seeing this bookstore that opened during the Pandemic. It was very quaint, and we wanted to spend time browsing. I was commenting on someone's post about Bookmarks and mentioned how Diane is a fantastic about bookmarks and I should do a blog post about it. Our friend Nina Hollander, Broker said on the thread no do not post it until I send you some Bookmarks. So with that said what a surprise rush delivery received on Saturday or some people might call it Cathurday:) Thank you Nina and Diane is thrilled. The Book Jewel opens as a neighborhood GEM in Westchester,CA 90045. Another independent Bookstore opens in Westchester Triangle. Great news!!! Walking distance from out home.... Now keep in mind we are book addicts. Diane and I drive to Pasadena to Vroman's.... we drive to Santa Monica to Book Monster.... we drive to Pages in Manhattan Beach.... now we can walk to the Book Jewel in Westchester... The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is from April 18th to the 19th, 2015. We have been not only supporters but have attended virtually every festival since we came to Los Angeles. All my clients know I do not work this weekend. Will take calls and send a few emails as time permits between book signings and book discussion panels. Funny part is every year it is one of the hotest weekends, so you can imagine lugging hard cover books from one book signing to another translates to real work:)).
