Due to budget cuts the 15 year old horseback patrol unit that has been so popular with the citizens of San Diego, Ca will be disband come January 2010. Many on lookers would enjoy seeing the patrol unit on horseback patrolling the Balboa Park community. This economical maneuver by the City of San Diego will save $243,000. These Police Officers will be reassigned to other areas of San Diego. An auction is to be held to sell off equipment and other items associated with this branch of the San Diego police force.
