My 28 Year & Counting Family Tradition - Salmon Fishing The year was 1983 & I was 8 years old. My father decided he was taking me to Pulaski, NY to go Salmon Fishing. Twenty eight years later, we haven’t missed a year. If you’re looking for a manly man’s fishing trip that’s not too far off, this is a great place to start. WARNING: 1. These fish are strong! Just a quick shout out to all of the real estate service professionals that were born to fish but forced to work!! Striper season is right around the corner. Last year I had a personal best with a 15 lb striper. Now I know, I know when it comes to stripers that pretty much sucks but hey, I really just started targeting them last year. On the Jersey shore, we are starting to hear reports that they are coming in. It is just about spring which means that fishing season will soon be in full swing. I usually take a fishing trip every year somewhere between January & February just to shake the winter non fishing blues. The picture below is of a 325 lb Goliath Grouper that I caught March of last year in Florida with Capt Ben Chancey. An absolutely amazing fight! I challenge ANYONE to find a more physically exhausting fish to catch. For all of you on the NJ coast & on up north, THE STRIPERS ARE COMING!!! Soon it will be Striped Bass Season!! I can't wait.
