If you get a chance to visit the Garden of Eden on Maui, you'll see these beautiful peacocks strutting around the grounds. It's a botanical attraction on the road to Hana, and well worth the visit. The 33 acre park has been planted with all sorts of interesting tropical trees and flowers, with walking paths throughout. If you don't feel much like walking, you can just drive around and still see a lot of lovely scenery, with some lookout spots just a short walk from the car. You'll see waterfalls and ocean views, among other sights.

I'm showing off my red asparagus beans we've grown in Haiku Maui. They're also known as "yard long beans" but I have never been able to get one quite that long! The pods usually grow as pairs, with the occasional set of three beans pods. I like to let a few of the pods go all the way to maturity so I can have some seeds for the next crop. Otherwise, you pick them before they get too fat.
Asparagus beans can also be green, but it's kind of fun to have the red ones because they really stand out on the vines, … (11 comments)

Thursday is the day we head out and preview some new listings on the north shore of Maui, in Paia, and Haiku. We convene at the beautiful Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville to exchange information and network. After the meeting we car pool or drive on our own to see the homes for sale. It was a big line up of properties priced from around $500,000 and up to $6,400,000.

I just wanted to share this video of the ocean view at 480 Puniawa Rd, Haiku Maui, on a nice balmy evening in April.
