Haiku Maui annual Hoolaulea Flower Festival this weekend

Once again it's time for the much awaited annual event at the Haiku Community Center that highlights all the wonderful flowers and plants that grow in Haiku Maui... The Haiku Ho'olaule'a & Flower Festival.  Orchids and tropicals, leis and bouquets, seedlings and landscape plants are all on display and offered for sale.

More than just a flower show, this community event will also feature food booths, live music and dance, a silent auction, book sale, bake sale, crafts and more!  It's a benefit for the kids at Haiku Elementary School, which is right next door to this event on the Hana Highway.

This year there will even be an Instagram Photo contest so be sure to post your pictures with the #PeaceLoveHaiku hashtag for a chance to win big, sponsored by Hawaiian Paddle Sports.

Come early and stay late, starting at 9:00 until 4:30.  This is a FREE event for the whole family, so make a day of it and meet your neighbors and friends. I'll see you there!

Georgie - Many beautiful flowers on Maui for sure. I just realized we drove the road to Hana when we were there this last summer, so we drove right by your neck of the woods. I love the beauty Maui offers, and this flower festival looks like a great event.

Aloha Georgie,

Haiku is such a lovely community. Wish I was there for the event. I'm sure the lei's will be beautiful and the painted coconuts make a great housing warming gift, although the price is a little steep.

Hello Georgie ... wonderful event and just a Heads Up, VB is working for a company in San Jose that will be finishing a construction project around October/November.

After the project finishes in San Jose, they will be starting a project in Hawaii and asked VB if he wants to work on the project for over one year. Great money and a great opportunity for VB to visit and live in Hawaii.

Do you think VB should make the move?
