transcontinental railroad: Traveling INTO Colfax rather than BY it!

And today, when my plans to work more in my garden were thwarted by their annoyance at mid-day, I grabbed my keys and went for a little drive. The road traveling eastward out of Sacramento, along highway 80, finds the quaint little town known as Colfax about 49 miles away. Today, I decided not to travel BY Colfax, but actually INTO it.
