feng shui nyc consultant: Exploring Fort Washington Park in NYC with Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano - 05/03/19 05:03 AM
I was in New York City for a Feng Shui Consultation and before heading over, I decided to visit the Fort Washington Park, located along the world famous Hudson River. A few things that intrigued me to explore. First, it was an absolute beautiful day outside. Second, I needed a break from all the urban energy. And third, I heard about a "Little Red Light House" that was built directly underneath the George Washington Bridge. And so, my journey began!

feng shui nyc consultant: Exploring Manhattan NY: MoMa - 12/31/18 06:38 AM
You could consider this a part two to my previous blog post: Brooklyn New York Hidden Gem - Barbès. As shared, on December 30th, 2018, I took a tour of the boroughs in NYC and made specific stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. This post focuses on my visit to Moma
It's been a year or so since I've returned to MoMa and this was a much needed treat! New exhibits that really caught my attention included Bruce Nauman: Disappearing Acts and Charles White: A Retrospective. The photo you see as the featured image is an installation from the Bruce Nauman's installation. And as for Charles White, I purposely didn't post any photos because … (4 comments)

feng shui nyc consultant: What Are Fu (Foo) Dogs in Classical Feng Shui? - 12/20/18 06:53 AM
A BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT FU DOGS

“Fu” in Chinese means wealth, good fortune, and prosperity.  Fu Dogs are known as Guardian Lions which have been used in China since the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD). Another name is Chi lins which describes a mythical creature that features aspects of a dragon-horse or Chinese unicorn. The concept became popular in Chinese Buddhism, subsequently spreading to other parts of Asia including, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Singapore.
Traditionally, Fu Dogs were placed in front of Imperial palaces, temples, and government offices. In modern-day times, Fu Dogs … (20 comments)

feng shui nyc consultant: Exploring New York City with Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano - 04/14/18 11:22 AM
Last weekend I was in New York City to conduct a Feng Shui Consultation and Space Clearing Ceremony. My client was located in downtown, near the world trade center. So after, I decided to take myself on a little tour before heading back to Long Island.

I walked over to the 9/11 Memorial and every time I see it, its still such a surreal thing to observe. Walking just a short distance, I came across The Oculus, which provides unique architectural design on its on or when paring it with the World Trade Center Building.

Does your home have a Soul? New York Feng Shui Consultant Laura Cerrano says, "yes, every house, land, animal and object carries a certain energy, a certain soul."  Feng Shui teaches you how to create a loving, warming and balanced environment in your home for you and your family. If you live in a home that promotes a peaceful soul, your mind, body and spirit will resonate with that energy.   If you live in a home that lacks an "awakened soul," you will feel … (9 comments)

Bringing closure for 9/11 the World Trade Center by laura Cerrano Feng Shui NYC
9/11 is upon us.  It is a day that has truly changed and rocked the perspective of many when it comes to living and viewing the meaning of life. It is almost like the peak of spiritual disconnection.  Usually the only way to grab our attention is when something dramatic and devastating happens, sad but true.  We like to wait till the very last straw is drawn.
Why does Ms. Cerrano say this?  Since 9/11 many started to reach out and search for ways to reconnect to … (5 comments)

You have the power to change...so what are you waiting for? by Feng Shui NYC consultant
Change....for some this is a terrifying thought, while for others it's welcomed with open arms.  Change is part of life, look to Nature with constant cycles in the seasons, birth, death.....it's everywhere.   Change keeps us growing so that we develop and progress in life to meet the goals that we aspire to.   A main focuses of Feng Shui is that the principles teach you how to accept change.  You can either resist what is already set in motion or "go with the flow".

Enhancing your Business Logo with Feng Shui by Feng Shui NYC consultant
The beauty of Feng Shui is that you can incorporate it into anything and everything that you do in life...including Logo Design.  It's not hard at all, you just need to have a basic understanding of the Feng Shui principles that focuses on color, texture, imagery, shapes, symbols, and more.

Laura Cerrano helped co-design a logo for a Day Care in Brooklyn New York.  Thinking about what the business represents and the type of imagery to accompany the services offered, Laura Cerrano, Rose (owner of the day care) … (7 comments)

Sound Beach Long Island NY Home Improves their Kitchen with Feng Shui Changes
This is a past client's kitchen from Sound Beach Long Island NY. Before any changes where made, her kitchen lacked a few of the Feng Shui Principles.  Laura Cerrano Feng Shui Long Island consultant suggested a few simple inexpensive changes. Can you guess what changed?......

My mother and I used the Bauga Method of Feng Shui to layout the space of her Kitchen.  From any entrance when walking into a room, the wall you see straight ahead is known as the Fame Wall.  The fame … (7 comments)

Speechless Sunday Be Creative with your Business Name
I was in Huntington NY this past weekend to Celebrate my big brother's Birthday! :) During the early morning him, some friends and I set out for a birthday breakfast.  We came across an interesting sign for a dog grooming business. With any business you want to create a name that will be easy to remember and stick in your mind.

Feng Shui Tip the Huntington NY business accented their logo in Red which is Fame on the Bagua and represents getting your name out to the universe.

A Feng Shui Consultant on Long Island NY…Part Two, 1997 by Feng Shui Long Island and New York
I’d done it.  I’d completed my Feng Shui Certification Classes and all the extra ones I had signed up for and I was ready to work.  Unfortunately, back in 1997 almost no one knew what Feng Shui WAS….or worse, they had terrible misconceptions of it.
With a Long Island NY home and two children to support, I went back to my “old” life.  I began to adapt Feng Shui Principles in my home and in my office and soon felt a profound difference … (20 comments)

Be CAREFUL What you Wish For........
Recently opened in Farmingdale, Long Island New York:  Krispy Crème!  Until just a year or so ago we only had Dunkin Donuts here on Long Island and one day we heard Krispy Crème was finally opening in just one area of the Island.
The lines were long....they were a hit and have been opening branches in different locations now.  This one, however, caused some speculation that is may just be possible that Jenny Craig wasn't doing all that well---and decided to purchase their own franchise of a Krispy Kreme.  What a benefit to BOTH businesses! … (33 comments)
