drugs: Drug Massacre Victims all had ties to ND

If you have not heard of this horrific massacre of women and children visiting Mexico I hope you will check it out. Those killed had nothing to do with the drug world, they just happened to be driving big expensive SUV's like those that Mexican drug Lords do and thus it was case of mistaken identity that cost them their lives. North Dakota is reeling from the senseless deaths as all of them had close ties to North Dakota. A couple of months ago I wrote a post called "Who killed Kale". It was about a young man in town who died of an overdose from tainted heroin. (10 comments)
Who Killed Kale? Every obituary is a loss or even a tragedy. It was sad to read about Kale Schaan on July 24th, 2019 in the Minot Daily’s obituary section. Kale was a very promising and talented young man. My hats off to the family for openly calling attention to the fact that Kale’s demise was due to a struggle with addiction. Who killed Kale? Some may say he did it to himself as an addict and there is some truth to that but it’s not the whole truth... so help me God. I say the answer also lies in the pages of the Minot Daily News. drugs: Along With Prosperity

Not everything good follows prosperity. In the year 2006 Minot North Dakota was still a pretty "sleepy" town. Not quite as sleep as Mayberry but for a small city of 30,000 it was quieter then most. Then BOOM! Oil boom that is. The rest of the nation was in the financial dumpster and we needed about 100,000 people immediately to work in the oil field and also to support all the businesses and services just to keep things working here. The boom brought a lot of good people here who wanted to provide for their families being there was no work for them at home. BUT it also (15 comments)
