AT&T is now offering up to a $3,000 reward for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in copper thefts of telephone wiring. The South Fulton area of Atlanta has been hot especially hard. A rash of recent thefts has left thousands in the area without phone service. Renaissance Elementary and Langston Hughes High Schools has both been impacted recently. Each theft occurrence costs AT&T a minimum of $500. This adds up quickly for the company.
