sarah palin: Whoopi Goldberg on "The View" - March 2010 - 01/09/11 06:28 PM
In a March 2010 show of "the View", Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck condemned Sarah Palin's political target map.
Whoopi Goldberg referred to Sarah Palin's dangerous rhetoric about "reloading" while even Hasselbeck spoke of a civic responsibility and called the crosshairs on Palin's map an "abuse of the second amnedment".
Goldberg had a message to the talking heads who were inciting violent thoughts: "Whatever comes down from this.... it's on your hands .... This is dangerous!"

sarah palin: Sarah Palin's Language of Violence - 01/09/11 05:48 AM
Yesterday's shooting in Arizona where six people were killed and fourteen others wounded (including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords) highlighted the precarious state of American politics.
When politicians use violent rhetoric and irresponsible images to promote their agendas we need to take serious cognizance that there are irrational people who will act on these irresponsible (albeit figurative) suggestions.
CNN reported: "As of Saturday, Arizona Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' name appeared on a website titled "take back the 20" as part of a list originally issued by Sarah Palin of vulnerable House Democrats. A map on the site showed crosshairs over the contested … (19 comments)

sarah palin: Monday Morning Chuckle | Barbara Bush on Sarah Palin - 11/22/10 01:19 AM

"Many a truth is said in jest"
I've never found Barbara Bush amusing or particularly eloquent - Remember her comments about Katrina ....? "What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."
But during a recent interview on Larry King Live she gave her frank and concise opinion on Sarah Palin, which I thought was worth a chuckle.

sarah palin: Bill Maher is Brilliant - So Why Did He Waste His Time Talking to Levi Johnston? - 10/24/10 07:52 AM
I'm a big fan of Bill Maher. I think he's astute, clever and extremely witty.
With that said, why did he waste time on this week's "Real Time with Bill Maher" talking to Levi Johnston?
Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson, plans to run for the office of mayor in Wasilla, Alaska. Johnston appears to simply be doing this as part of a reality TV show, and not with the sincere intention of serving the community he lives in.
Johnston didn't say much of anything. He's done nothing exceptional nor does he present any new and interesting ideas on anything. … (12 comments)

The Sarah Palin Network ..... "Are You Smarter Than A Half-Term Governor?"
Tina Fey's latest impersonation of Sarah Palin on SNL (4/10/2010) is brilliant & funny.
Watch it and weep - Enjoy!

sarah palin: Sarah Palin and yet another case of Republican Hypocrisy - 02/21/10 06:37 AM
Sarah Palin and yet another case of Republican Hypocrisy.
I've tried to ignore Sarah Palin and her annoying ignorance on seriously important issues.
But this weekend I was all riled-up by her blatant hypocrisy on the subject of health insurance reform and the "public option".
She continues to speak about "death panels" and the government "take-over" of health care ....both of which are factually false.
In spite of her vociferous objections to a public option in President Obama's health care reform, it has become known that her grandson, Tripp Palin Johnston, has soclialized health care through Indian Health Services and the … (15 comments)

sarah palin: Top Ten Messages on Sarah Palin's Answering Machine by David Letterman - 07/09/09 03:50 AM

Sarah Palin's surprise resignation confirmed she is a quitter.
Fellow ActiveRain Blogger - Terry Haugen - summed it up perfectly in a post on 7/8/09.
Palin quit four colleges; she quit her position on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Committee; she quit her elected position as Mayor of Wasilla.
..... and now she quit her elected position of governor of Alaska.
That's a lot of quitting for a self-proclaimed "non-quitter".

sarah palin: Sarah Palin to resign as Gov. of Alaska before the end of her term - 07/03/09 03:36 PM
Sarah Palin announced she will step down as Governor of Alaska. Why?
Is there Breaking News about a new scandal? Why is she really "passing the ball" as she says?
Palin took no questions after a brief news conference in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. She did not state her future plans.
"I'm not seeking re-election" in 2010, Palin said, stating she would transfer authority to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell on July 26.
According to a report on CNN, the governor's "book deal and other issues" were "causing a lot of friction" in her home state. The report went on to say … (62 comments)

sarah palin: "Screw Political Correctness" - Sarah Palin continues with her ridiculous rhetoric - 06/07/09 03:26 PM
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt" - Abraham Lincoln
There's no better quotation that applies to Sarah Palin than this one.
At an event in Anchorage this past week while opening for Michael Reagan, Palin re-introduced "Alaska's First Dude" and then proceeded to deliver another ridiculous speech in which she opened with "Screw Political Correctness" (Turn up the volume on your computer).
She promoted the arrogant Bush ideology and closed-minded thinking of "Us against them", and "You're either with us or against us".
She stated: "We need to be aware … (51 comments)

sarah palin: Sarah Palin picks homophobic attorney general - 03/30/09 04:13 AM
Governor Sarah Palin has appointed Anchorage attorney, Wayne Anthony Ross as Alaska's attorney general.
Palin stated that "with his vast legal knowledge, experience and integrity, he will make an exceptional attorney general."
Ross is the very same attorney who referred to gays as "immoral" and "degenerates" in a letter her wrote several years ago to the Anchorage Bar Association newsletter. This was in opposition to an anti-discrimination ordinance being supported by several Anchorage lawyers who were advocating gay rights.
The fact that Palin chose such an individual as Alaska's attorney general is not surprising given her comments on gay rights and … (14 comments)

sarah palin: A message for Sarah Palin: It's done with, now move on! - 01/09/09 01:46 AM
The 2008 National Election was won and lost by the respective players in November last year - but Sarah Palin won't let up about how the media treated her during the campaign.
"I've been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope," Palin said this week. "It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was … (49 comments)

sarah palin: The unravelling of Sarah Palin - What she didn't know and refused to learn - 11/05/08 11:23 PM
Carl Cameron discusses the real Sarah Palin with Bill O'Reilly on FOX News. It's mind-boggling to hear how unsuited Palin was for the position as the Vice Presidential nominee - yet O'Reilly continues to make excuses for her.
The good news is that Palin is back home in Wasilla, where she belongs. Hopefully he visions of grandeur will be tempered and she'll stay put in Alaska.

sarah palin: Alaska's Natural Gas Pipeline in question - More troubling questions surround Sarah Palin - 10/25/08 12:41 PM
Seriously troubling facts have emerged concerning Alaska's proposed Natural Gas Pipeline.
"ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Gov. Sarah Palin's signature accomplishment - a contract to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48 - emerged from a flawed bidding process that narrowed the field to a company with ties to her administration, an Associated Press investigation shows."
Palin claimed there was a "smart and fair bidding process" - but the AP found that her team crafted terms that favored only a few independent pipeline companies and ultimately benefited the winner, TransCanada Corp.
Despite promises and legal guidance not to talk directly … (20 comments)

sarah palin: It's Christmas for Sarah Palin - and she goes shopping - 10/21/08 04:04 PM
Sarah Palin claims to be a responsible spender. She talks about cutting excessess in Washington. But today's media reports show another side to John McCain's running mate ... This woman can spend.
Politico.com reports: "The Republican National Committee appears to have spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.""According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74. The records also document a couple of big-time … (42 comments)

sarah palin: Is the "love affair" with the GOP's sweetheart over? - 09/26/08 08:49 AM
Take the "L" out of "Lover" and it's "Over"
Take the "L" out of "Palin" and it's "Pain"
Where exactly is the sequested Republican Vice Presidential candidate?
The economic and political environment is extremely fluid right now, yet Sarah Palin is conspicuously absent. Why is the McCain campaign still continuing to hide her from the public with only 39 days to go until the general election?
According to Nicole Wallace, a spokesman for the McCain campaign, "Americans don't care whether Sarah Palin can answer specific questions about national security and foreign policy."
As a responsible American, I beg to differ.

sarah palin: Is Palin just a Parrot? - THIS MUST BE SEEN - The Katie Couric Interview - 09/25/08 04:52 AM
"I'll try to find some and bring 'em to ya ..."
That was Sarah Palin's reply when Katie Couric asked her for definitive examples to show that McCain has been "the maverick" and been "leading the charge" to push for more oversight and regulation of the financial industry.
Sarah Palin's performance confirmed that she is way out of depth during her interview with Catie Kouric. McCain's campaign has obviously realized this and now they're scrambling to deal with her total unsuitability for the position as his running mate. Notice how she simply repeats the "talking points" and "script" that she's been prompted to … (34 comments)
