A Charity (Part II) That Really Hits Home - Dry Bones Denver - This is one of two of my two favorite charities in the Denver area. It is funny how we learn about different organizations and the causes they support. For the two charities that really tug on my heartstrings, both I have been introduced to through friends and past clients. Dry Bones Denver is a ministry that helps Homeless youth and young adults. Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot - A charity I can really get "Behind" Boy, this one really struck a chord with me. A couple former clients have founded this great non-profit to not only help raise awareness for the need for diapers for those that can't afford them on a regular basis, but to try to single- handedly change this forever. Some Facts: 60,000 kids below the age of 5 live at or below the poverty level in metro Denver Infants and toddlers can use up to 8-10 diapers a day, costing as much as $150.00 a month. Big Bills New York Pizza 9/11 A Day of Giving - Big Bills New York Pizza has long been a favorite spot for families in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Littleton and on 9/11 with a New York name you better believe it is something special. Owner Bill Ficke has a heart as big as his largest Sicilian thick square party pizza and on 9/11 every pizza in the place is on the house. Young Rockers putting on encore Charity performance - The band, The Fairgrounds, consists of four young rock and rollers form Littleton and Centennial Colorado. One year ago this week they performed there very first concert, a charity benefit for an orphanage in Ghana. They raised over $1000.00 for the orphanage and decided they want to make this an annual concert. So tonight starting at 6:30 PM at the Littleton Church of Christ one block north of Arapahoe Road on Colorado Blvd, The Fairgrounds and a couple other young bands will put on their second annual charity concert.
