TRUE BLOGGING SUCCESS IS AWESOME!

By
Real Estate Agent with Sotheby's International Realty Canada - Brokerage

How would you like more than 60,000 hits a day on your blog?  How would you feel if you were asked to pen a book from your blog experience?  Would that be awesome?

You bet it would and Neil Pasricha has done just that.  This former student of Kingston's Queen's University has seen this awesome success stem from his blog 1000awesomethings.com

After a particularly bad day, Neil wanted to remind himself of all the good things in life.  Me, being a believer in Gratitude Journals, I can understand this wholeheartedly.  When things seem darkest, we have to focus on everything that can make us smile.  The tiniest of things that most people would pass over.  That is what Neil focused on with his blog and I am so thankful that he did.  It makes for a wonderful read first thing each morning.  When you begin your day positive, the rest of the day usually follows suit.

With his 1000 awesome things such as "When you should have got a parking ticket but didn't" and "when there is leftover cake in the office kitchen" to "Seeing your reflection in a store front window and liking what you see " and "Ripping off a square of plastic wrap that doesn't get stuck to itself ", these are all things that we need to appreciate to make sense of the rest of the stuff we shouldn't be concentrating on.

Neil has won a People's Voice Webby Award for the best blog for the second year in a row.  His book, The Book of Awesome is a best seller.  He has companies hiring him for speaking engagements and his second book is coming out too.

Who would have thought all this would happen simply from concentrating on the glass being half full (or more)  What you think about you bring about so stay positive people - it works.  It more than works . . .  It is AWESOME!

Mary - until you can get the book, subscribe to his blog.  A great and quick first read of the morning . . .  beats the newspaper and the depressing news, hands down!

Thank you for the compliment on my photo too - I hate having my pic taken just like everybody else but it is a necessary evil :0)

Susan - there are SO MANY things we have to be thankful for - just being born on the North American continent and growing up in an area where we have not seen war on our own shores - that is something to be thankful for that many people don't even think of.
