Out and About Loving Annapolis
Fisherman's Inn on The Eastern Shore
Every now and again hubby and I will head across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and do something fun on the 'other' shore. Like the crab feast for Ronald McDonalds House we went to in Oxford, or a surprise birthday party for a favorite son-in-law, or maybe to just relax with kids and grandkids for a few hours every chance we can.
And then there are those times when Fisherman's Inn calls our names and we head over the bridge for a great meal with great service.
Fisherman's Inn is a unique restaurant that attacks all your senses from the moment you step inside. The owners have amassed a huge collection of oyster plates which they have prominently displayed throughout the restaurant.
Suspended below the ceiling of both dining rooms is a train that quietly runs a continuous loop through both rooms and I must admit I find myself looking for it to come through and always stop and watch as it passes overhead.
We have eaten there many times over the years and have never been disappointed in the quality, the taste, the service or the atmosphere. We have even celebrated special birthdays there, mine included.
Fisherman's Inn is located just over the Kent Narrows Bridge in Grasonville. Heading Eastbound on Rt 50 it is on the right hand side. Kent Narrows bridge is the next bridge just a few miles over the Bay Bridge, Dress is casual or dressy, the choice is yours. Either way you will feel right at home.
So the next time you head over the bridge for a day trip or a week at the ocean make time to stop and eat at Fisherman's Inn. You will be glad you did.
Oh...one last thing...they also have a crab deck and a seafood market. The perfect additions to this Eastern Shore treasure.
