This is a Houston restaurant review. I'd heard a lot about this establishment, The Breakfast Klub, and had even attempted to go for breakfast one day. However, the line was out the door and around the sidewalk on the corner. I didn't have enough time planned to stand in that line, so I opted for a return trip another day. After finally making it back to The Breakfast Klub, I wish I'd just gotten in line the last time!
As we entered the front door, we were greeted by a woman who told us the ropes. "You go up to the counter & order. Then grab your coffee from the coffee bar. It starts with decaf on the left and works its way down the line to the strongest coffee." As we nodded in unison, she continued, "Is this your first time here?" We nodded again. "Well, you need to try the Wings & Waffles or the Katfish & Grits. Step on up to the counter now." So since she was so good at instructions, we decided to go with her choices. And after we ordered & paid at the counter, we stepped over to the coffee bar which had a great range of coffee blends. We settled on the Guatemalan & made our way to a table. Within a few minutes, our food was delivered. Before we could even revel at the looks of the food, a server was at the table to see what else we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. Hot, seasoned just right and huge portions - what was there not to like? Just as we began our breakfast, a bus from a local church pulled up in front. As the passengers made their way to the line, it began to snake out the door. We had arrived just in time!
The Breakfast Klub needs to be on your list for a Houston visit. Look at the pictures - you can't go wrong!
