Does it get any easier? Eating Pancakes for Charity.

It was a supreme sacrifice, but hubby and I made time this morning to go IHOP (International House of Pancakes) to support the Children's Miracle Network. How did we do that, you might ask? Well today was IHOP National Pancake Day.

To celebrate, each "guest" receives one complimentary short stack of pancakes. In return, we are asked to give a donation to the Children's Miracle Network. Last year IHOP raised $2.1 billion.

Thanks to Ed Silva who brought this wonderful event to my attention via his blog post earlier this week.

Donna: I am so disappointed that I am only finding out about this at what is almost 10:00 pm here in Fort Worth. And here I could have had one "free stack" and prolly another "paid-for" stack of pancakes... made my contribution to the Children's Miracle Network (an incredibly worthy cause) and then waddled careful out to the car, drove back home, and took a very long nap.

Oh well... maybe tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed YOUR pancakes. <smile>

Hi Cheryl~ The best thing about was that it was an all day offer 7am-10pm, so we didn't even have to wait in line!

Karen Anne, I can't possibly apologize enough. I guess you missed Ed Silva's post. Now we had the re-blog feature working I'm sure someone would have re-blogged Ed's post and you would have had prior knowledge. Start planning now for next year! :-)

Hey Melissa~ The food was good, the company was good (went with the hubby) and the service was good. The breakfast tri-fecta! PLUS it ultimately benefited children, doesn't get any easier and any better than that!

Hi Vickie~ It's a terrific idea for a fundraiser. The best thing is that you can involve your whole family. They offered pancakes all day, 7am until 10pm. I know a few family that often have breakfast for dinner! :-)
