Remember when Short Sales were first introduced to the Real Estate public at large. As an agent, I knew I had to get involved. I looked at it as another thing to learn that was necessary for doing business. More and more of my clients needed help and I had to become knowledgeable about it.
MUST KNOW SS
Now, it is mandatory in today's Real Estate market place. We have accepted it like it was always here. But, it will become the LESS one day instead of the MORE. Hopefully soon. Meanwhile, it is like an open wound and it needs to start healing and the market back to normalcy
BANKS NEED TO MOVE ON
The Era of the Short Sale is upon us. It is not normal business but business generated by a failure on one of the parties that have transacted. We have learned how to take failure and turn it into a business. I don't like doing business this way, but understand it has to be done
MOVE THE SHADOW INVENTORY QUICKER
I am looking forward to the shadow inventory being reduced to acceptable and normal levels. The problem is that we keep adding to this inventory dragging out the whole process. If we knew that it would end at some point, that would definitely affect the industry for the better. Knowing that there is a time limit to perform could speed up the whole process for all. Dragging out the process depresses the market, causes buyers to hesitate, and does not allow for the invisible value we call EQUITY to kick in. Think back in your memory and search under E
EQUITY...WHAT'S THAT?
Remember EQUITY? That is where you get some appreciation on your investment after year one, year two etc and those gains either kept up with bank returns or exceed them. Now, pledging your home as collateral doesn't mean what it used to. It can be a burden instead of a guarantee
I am looking forward to the day of a good old fashioned "sale" and not a short sale
