Number of Tucson Homes rented in October - 181

 

Average Days on Market - 46

 

Average Rent Price:  $1186.00

 

 

 

 

 

Below are some highlights from the October Tucson Real Estate Statistics from the Tucson Association of Realtors:

 

October brings Tucson up 30% in Sales!

 

·         Total Sales Volume showed a slight decrease from September to October of 7.03% but an increase of 11.92% over October 2010.

 

·         Average Sales Price increased .74% from $150,699 in September to $151,812 in October.

 

·         Total Under Contract increased .58% over September, and increased 9% from October 2010.

 

·         Total Unit Sales decreased from 1,064 in September to 982 in October, resulting in a 7.71% decrease.

 

·         The Median Sales Price increased 2.13% from September.

 

·         New Listings increased from1,256 in September to 1,280 in October.

 

·         There are 5,290 Active Listings in October. This is prime season to start listing your home and Sellers are actively moving into the market!

 

·         Average Days On Market - Huge drop - down to 74 days over last month which stood at 97!

Gabrielle - Wow, average sq ft is 1050? That seems small to me. Looks like a bunch are available though. Nice report.

Hi Gabrielle! The surprising number to me is the number of homes rented for October of only 181. Seems like in a town of almost a million people that it would be higher especially with the glut of properties. But those are the facts I guess. The DOM coming down is a nice sign. Homes priced better or just a bit of increase in number of potential buyers submitting offers. I still am an optimist and think that we are slowly digging our way out of this mess. I love the information.
