Taking a Walk Among Spring Blooms in Marana
Ahh, Spring. Perhaps it seems doubly nice since our 5 day visit to Green Bay, WI, but to me, there's nothing like discovering new blooms and beauty when out for a daily walk.
Gladden Farms in Marana has miles of public pathways and bike trails, waterways filled with trees and shrubbery, and mountain views...but I find my eyes get drawn to the bright spots in folks' front yards.
I was able to get a bit of gardening done myself over the weekend, and am looking forwards to getting a bunch of annuals to nestle in among the cactus and lantana already waking up from "winter" in Tucson.
Neighbors are out killing weeds and pruning back limbs darkened by our two or three days of frost this year.
Doesn't it sound harsh? If you need a break from Winter's grasp, consider relocation to the sunny SW desert.
Even if it's cool, it's sunny more often than not..and color blooms "pop" within the muted desert shading.
Personally, I'm just crazy about our mountains. Tucson has mountains on all four sides and sits in a natural valley.
Beautiful. For more information, please contact me! I'm happy to send a relocation or visitor's packet to entice you to sunny Arizona.
