Fun in Austin, Texas, May 6th, 2012 By Your Houston & Tomball Real Estate Professional
A Round of minuature golf, or putt-putt as we sometimes call it, is a welcome opportunity to have some fun in Austin. Peter Pan Mini Golf is on Barton Springs Drive.
Don't forget to have a great breakfast or lunch at an Einstein's Bagel's. Outstanding food and awesome service. The last time I was at this one (on Hwy 35) the manager made a specialty item for me and served it to me hot out of the oven. Yumm!!
This beautiful water lily is at Zilker Botanical Garden. There were also a peach colored water lily there that day.
This is part of the chinese garden part of Zilker Botanical Gardens. There is a great winding rock path that descends to this lower level and the ponds. There are multiple paths that lead down to the ponds. Along each of the paths is a small river, each of which empties into the ponds. One of the ponds has large koi fish in it.
Was that a dinosaur I just saw? Yes, there is a prehistoric garden in Zilker Botanical Gardens where you can see petrified wood, this 8 foot high and 20 foot long dinosaur and other "prehistoric" items such as fossils. Make sure to not miss this section of the Gardens.
The next time you are in search of family fun in Austin, try some of these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
