Things to do in Alameda: Alameda South Shore Centerand Off the Grid will be back with more food trucks on June 30, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco. Eight to ten trucks will including Pacific Puffs, Hiyaaa, Curry Up Now, Fins on the Hoof, Five Ten Burger, Nick’s Wheely Good Breakfast and Sanguchon. Yum Yum!

Things to do in Alameda: Family Bike Ride sponsored by Bike Alameda on July 1 at 10:00 am. Kids, adults, all ages and levels of experience are welcome to join this bike ride which will start at Alameda Bike at 1522 Park Street, in Alameda.

Don’t forget the Mayor’s 4th of July parade is on Wednesday. The parade starts at 10:00 am. It is always a fun event where you see everyone you know either in the parade or on the sidewalk watching the parade.
The USS Hornet is hosting their annual Independence Day celebration on July 4th from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Hornet is at 707 W. Hornet Avenue, Pier 3 at Alameda Point. The public is invited to the USS Hornet for a day of entertainment, food and interactive games. The flight deck of the USS Hornet provides a panoramic view of Bay Area fireworks.
July 6th is "First Friday" at the Frank Bette Center.Sterling Hoffmann'ssolo show will be featured in the Signature Gallery. Sterling's work is featured on this year's PAPo ad materials for having won the "Best of Show" in 2010. Frank Bette Center for the Arts is located at 1601 Paru, Alameda.
Alameda Walks! On July 7 at 9 am walkers will meetat the Tidewater Aquatic Center to hear about the new center and to walk to Martin Luther King Shoreline Park nearby. Meet at the Aquatic Center at 4675 Tidewater Avenue over the High Street Bridge in Oakland.
