Addison Pacesetters Learn About the Town's Assistant to the City Manager.
Addison Pacesetters (Addison, Texas residents 50+ years of age) meet the first Wednesday of each month at Dunn Bros. on Belt Line Road and learn about the Town of Addison. This month, Charles Goff, Addison's Assistant to the City Manager (Ron Whitehead), spoke to us. Here is some interesting information from his presentation and the Q & A session that followed:
- Charles help City Manager Ron Whitehead to stay focused.
- He has 3 degrees from Baylor University.
- Charles had an internship with the Texas legislature 2 years ago and decided he didn't want to work at the state level.
- He got a Masters of Public Administration at UNT and did an internship in Addison in the Economic Development Department.
- He's been in his current position for 10 months.
- Day-to-day, Charles tracks the progress of projects, sets up performance indicators and helps the new CFO.
- If you send a letter to the town council, the letter goes through his office.
- Charles is also involved with Addison's 60th Anniversary Committee.
