Referrals - Do you use the system?

I just posted a potential referral (pre-qualified buyer) into the Referral section of AR. My question is this:

Based on the number of referral leads (or lack thereof) on this system, does anyone use it?

I think this could be a great resource and as I am beginning to get more and more leads without agents I would like to be able to find a referral when needed. Understand that the agents I currently work with will get the bulk of any referrals I have to offer. I believe in giving back.

But every once in a while I will have a referral to offer in an area none of my agents specialize in.

So what's the word? Does anyone even check the referrals section????

Thanks for the feedback.

When you input a referral into the system it goes to agents that have said they service that area. I got one and and so did a few others. The other agent beat me by calling as I was on the road and could only email. It is a great thing for agents that don't know someone in all areas.

I did not realize this was going on, I am relatively new on AR. I will begin checking the system more and learning about the referral system set up here. Thanks for the insight.

Hi Ed,
The anwser for me is "No".  I have made many friends and Associations here and that is the way I refer.  I don't feel comfortable just putting a referral out there.  Even if I don't know someone in the area, I will research agents in the area and ask around AR if they know someone.

Even a 'newbie' like myself, I have found the referral system to be of great use. Actually, it is the reason I joined AR. A investor client was helping a buyer in their system to obtain a home. I normally service this investor, but since this buyer was way out of my area I needed a referral to better serve them. I would always recommend doing some research on the person you are going to refer. Most information on how experienced they are is online. A phone conversation is usually the best way to get a 'feel' for another agent. Very good referral system here on AR.
