Nothing to photograph!

One of my friends in the ActiveRain community commented that there is nothing to photograph in his neighborhood. This was in response to my suggestion to take photowalks through your neighborhood with your camera in hand.

I could tell by the comment that he is not an avid photographer. For those of us that are hobby photographers, there is always something to photograph during a neighborhood photowalk.

Take a walk and try a little harder to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. What's in your neighborhood?

Roy, I read the post where you encouraged others to take walks and explore and photograph their neighborhoods. I plan to heed your advice in 2014. It was fun in college classes and I expect I will enjoy it again.

Good morning Roy. It is impossible not to have anything to photograph, as there is beauty everywhere, all one has to do is open their eyes.

Make it a great week!

I have to say that I used to think the same way until I started to follow your blog and learned there is beauty everywhere. you just have to slow down and look around. My goal is to get a better camera to capture the beauty.

Roy, I took a photgraphy class and the instructor taught us to take photos of tree bark, blades of grass, rocks, etc. I remember getting excited when I photographed ants. There is always something to photograph.

Yes, Scott and Debbie, we are surrounded by the gifts of nature but sometimes need to train ourselves to take a closer look. In the rush of life the rush is not what we want to recall at the end of the day.
