Helping a Great Dane by Purchasing an Awesome T-shirt.

Helping rescued dogs is definitely a passion of mine. I have done things such as transport dogs for vet visits, for rides to their new approved home, to give them their freedom ride to safety from a high kill shelter, have done home visits to see if the family is approved to adopt, and fostered dogs myself in our home. I have to admit that I am a very proud foster failure and it has happened many times.

I have attended several events such as WoofStock as well as events at the Dog Bar in Noda and these volunteers for GDFRL (Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love) are so caring and dedicated in making a difference in a great dane's life. It is heartwarming to see.

Today I received this invitation to assist their rescue. They are continually pulling dogs to safety and have taken in 12 new great danes in the past two weeks and they all need vet care. If you have a pet, you realize the expense one goes thru in caring for that one pet. Now add on 11 more and I am sure there are some expensive medical issues to deal with on some of these great rescued dogs.

Spaying...neutering...a couple were full of parasites... one had a bad UTI and ear infection...one is heart worm positive... all need routine vaccines and check ups. Hi Debbie .. this is a great group of volunteers and they are all so dedicated to helping Great Danes. I have met so many when helping Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue. All have passion for rescue.

Hi, Judith...I think it's awesome you help Great Danes. Did you know I stopped to help rescue one that was dumped. It was about a month or so ago. I blogged about it. Now the beautiful boy is safe and sound at a no kill shelter. It took us a while to get him. He didn't trust anyone, and the traffic scared him.

I might have to consider buying a shirt. I did check out the page. Thanks for the link. I like the blue shirt.

Hi Debbie ... I like the blue one as well. Bless you for helping the one that was dumped. I did the same thing in Jan. but we ended up keeping him. It is amazing how these dogs just show up ... no collar or chip. Archie was very skittish as well and it took me hours to get him into our garage. I am so glad I did ... he is wonderful.

Judith, I have at least 200 T-shirts, but can always use another one especially for such a great cause. There's a lady in my neighborhood who has rescued a couple of Danes...I did a blog post about her a couple of years ago.
