Things to do in Alameda: The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, January 3 and Tuesday, January 6 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers. The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open rain or shine.
Things to do in Alameda: Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks on January 3, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco.
Things to do in Alameda: First of a series of events celebrating poetry and poets on Saturday, January 3 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Alameda Museum at 2324 Alameda Avenue in Alameda. Be a part of the ancient chorus and share in the telling of a short tale called “Kevin’s Story.” Hosted by Artists Embassy International.

Things to do in Alameda: Saturday, January 3, at 7:00 pm celebrate “A Victorian 12th Night Ball”. The Dickens Fair Reunion Ball is presented by Period Events & Entertainment Re-Creation Society(PEERS). Vintage dance lessons proceed the Ball. There will be a no-host bar, light snacks and a performance by the Peerless Music Hall. Victorian attire admired but not required. Tickets are $20 if purchased by December 27; and $25 at the door. The Ball will be held at the Alameda Elks Lodge at 2255 Santa Clara Avenue in Alameda. Please call 510-522-1731 for information and tickets.
Things to do in Alameda: Will Durst’s Big Fat Kiss Off Comedy Show in Saturday, January 3 at 8:00 pm at Rhythmix Cultural Works at 2513 Blanding Avenue. The show features Durst, Johnny Steele, Debi Durst, Michael Bossier Mari Magaloni and Arthur Gaus. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
Things to do in Alameda: Alameda Point Antiques Faire on Sunday, January 4 from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. You’ll have great time people watching, buying cools things, and enjoying great food. Entry fee is $10 before 7:30 am, $5 after 9:00 am. If you haven’t been to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire you are missing a great event. Located at the end of Main Street at Alameda Point.
Things to do in Alameda: Sunday, January 4 at Lincoln Park at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for the Annual Rose Pruning. Join the rose pruning demonstration with the members of the East Bay Rose Society. This a free event. Lincoln Park is at 1450 High Street in Alameda.

The Alameda Elks Lodge is located at 2255 Santa Clara Avenue in Alameda. Additional performances on January 23 at 7:30 pm and matinees on January 18 and 25 at 2:00 pm
