SEO Best Practices Real Estate Searches Home Sellers
If you were a home owner that wanted to sell your home in (ANYTOWNUSA) and were searching for a real estate agent in your town oto sell your home...what are the search phrases you would most likely use in Google, Bing etc... to find the best real estate Agent to assist you in the home sellinng process? I think it can be an interesting discussion and a point of SEO focus for real estate agents and consumers alike.
Over the years I've hosed 100's of real estate websites, spoke all across the Country on Internet marketing... and in general I have made a great living off the Internet. However, I buck bogus industry trends about blogging about cats and dogs to grow my business, and instead focus on the consumer side. That brings me to the point of this post. Since the last few Google algorithm changes - the big boys not control most of the prime searches. It is now highly competitive to dominate the web on an organic basis. So here is my question...."What specific Phrase" is an end user of the Internet searching for when selling their home?
The overuse of the word phrase "ANYTOWNUSA Real Estate" is effective anymore for the prime target of a real estate search however as an ad keyword phrase it makes a fortune for those selling the position. "Anytown Real Estate" is a highly sought after term that for the most part can only be owned by the Trulia, Realtor.Com's, and Zillow type behemoth sized companies these days. I also doubt that a consumer searches the term "Real Estate!" It is more of an industry term than anything. It's been my experience over the years that consumers are much more specific when searching for their individual needs.
