Home Stager with Sharon Tara Transformations

Looking for fun food ideas for your Halloween party?

Maybe you just want to make a special Halloween treat for your family.

Chocolate covered pretzel rod "fingers" are sure to be a hit with both young and old alike!

Pretzel Rod Monster Fingers

These delicious monster finger treats are so easy to make.  You can make them any color.

You can use green food coloring and call them Witch Fingers if you prefer.

Ingredients:

20 Pretzel Rods

1 bag white chocolate chips (32 ou)

Sliced almonds

Food coloring

Start by covering a cookie sheet with wax paper.

1.  Melt the chocolate.  (Microwave for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until completely melted)

2.  Quickly add food coloring, a few drops at a time, until desired color.

3.  Dip pretzel rod into chocolate and slowly turn to coat...covering about 2/3 of rod.

4.  Place rod on wax paper/cookie sheet and immediately add almond "finger nail".

5.  Use toothpick to draw knuckle lines.

6.  Place cookie sheet in refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes to harden chocolate.

They look especially appetizing served on an old metal platter with candles and little rats and/or spiders!

 Happy Halloween!

Sharon, I think you're knuckle-carving skills are better than mine. These are crazy good. I'm a sucker for sweet-n-salty.

Roy Kelley  Thank you for commenting! You are always there to show your support and it's appreciated!

Kim Gaston  LOL Thank you!  It takes a little practice. You get better with each one!   I love sweet / salty too.  I always liked Junior Mints with my salty popcorn.

Sharon Tara - my daughter just told me she is driving up to Portsmouth for the day on Sunday - she is 21 and coming with her boyfriend - they are both seniors at Boston College- any restaurant, shop, coffee shop, museum, tourist destination that should not be missed? Neither of them is a drinker to speak of - so my idea of a Sunday afternoon looking at the harbor with a good glass of wine is probably not their idea of the way to spend an afternoon - LOL - any suggestions will be warmly appreciated!

Aren't you the clever cook?! I like the green witches fingers best. Are you planning a Halloween party this year?? We are hosting a poker game on the 21st, maybe we'll have an early Halloween themed party!

Donna Foerster  Thank you....wasn't my original idea. I'm just good at adapting things I see. LOL

No party planned this year. I will come up with some treat though for Kimo's contest. I'm sure the family will be willing to consume whatever ghoulish treat I come up with.
