Maui Kamaole is a very popular vacation destination on Maui, with condo units housed in 13 different buildings spread out over 23 acres in South Kihei, right across from the Kihei Boat Ramp. The 114 apartments come with either 1 or 2 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms.
Floor plans vary between 849 square feet up to 1,313 square feet, but most of the 1BD/2BA units are 849 sf with maintenance fees around $577/month. Most of the 2BD/2BA units have 1,052 sf of interior space, with maintenance fees around $650/month. Every unit has at least 1 lanai and usually 2. The 1 bedroom units are ground floor and the 2 bedroom units are up one flight of stairs, and occupy 2 floors. There are no elevators here. Pets are not allowed.

What's been selling and what's for sale at the Maui Kamaole Resort at 2777 S. Kihei Rd? Here's a quick market update for the summer of 2016.
For Sale now:
- 16 units for sale - all are Active - priced from $525,000 to $989,900
- 7 one bedroom units are priced between $525,000 and $645,000 - average DOM is 184
- 9 two bedroom units are priced from $595,000 to $989,900 - average DOM is 145
- none are short sales or bank owned
- 8 come with an ocean view, and yes, that will put the price up
Sold in the past 12 months:
- 9 units sold at prices ranging from $530,000 to $840,000
- 3 one bedroom units sold, average price was $589,833 and median price was $614,500
- 6 two bedroom units sold between $575,000 and $840,000 - average/median about $698,000
- DOM ranged from 9 days to 378 days, with average of 194 and median of 241
Owners can rent these out as vacation rentals, rent them long term ( 6 months or longer), or use them themselves - they make great second homes! When they are sold, they are usually sold fully furnished and ready to rent. They may also come with advance bookings that need to be honored, and can be transferred to a new owner.

Guests and owners enjoy having 2 different pools, and beautifully landscaped grounds. The location is right across from the boat launch, and Kamaole III Beach Park - images. There are some restaurants close enough to walk to. Maui Kamaole Resort is in S. Kihei and very close to Wailea and Keawakapu Beach.
