Great scenery, great exercise, and lots of family fun on the Chippewa River State Trail.
Looking for something fun to do in the Chippewa Valley? Check out the great trails in this part of the State.
We have three fantastic trails that offer great scenery, great exercise, and lots of family fun.
The first of these connecting trails will take you from Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Durand Wisconsin and covers 30 miles of Wisconsin history as it winds along the Chippewa River following an old railroad grade known as the Milwaukee Road.
This is the central portion of the Chippewa Valley Trails System; in a later posting I will introduce you to the other two fine trails in this area, the Old Abe Trail and the Red Cedar Trail.
