The beach is kept pristine and costs in season. It is extra popular with surfers. Concerts are held four nights a week and summertime 2017 will bring the start of LongIsland Pridefest Parade according to LGBT Network Organizers. There is a spectacular display of 4th of July fireworks over the ocean and annual fairs and festivals are held both on the boardwalk and in town.
There are all types of housing available from summer rentals and affordable co-ops to luxury condos, and private waterfront homes. The island is only 1/2 mile at its widest so you are never far from water.
