Happy New Year: The Year of the Rooster!
Happy Chinese New Year, this is ‘The Year of the Rooster’. Growing up as a kid I always enjoyed going to Chinese Restaurants with my parents. It was always a fun event, eating the type of food my mother would not cook and reading the placemats with the description of the Zodiac Signs.
While we were waiting for the food to come out, we would banter how accurate the descriptions were. I remember fondly how much fun we had about the descriptions of our strengths and weakness that the placemats shared. My father’s sign as well as my mother’s sign appeared to be spot on. How could that be possible? We did not delve on it too long, instead we just enjoyed the amazing accuracy.
Many people including my parents were not aware that there are differences even in the same zodiac signs, for example my father’s symbol was the horse, but he was not just a horse, his year was the Golden Horse and my mother’s symbol was not just the Tiger, but the Fire Tiger. It would have been fun to share with them the nuances of the various signs today. This type of additional information I discovered thanks to the Internet’s availability of information.
So, with that said, Happy New Year: The Year of the Rooster and interestingly Diane’s Zodiac sign is the Rooster and per the compatibility chart Snakes and Roosters get along. I guess after 20+ years we can confirm that is true as wellJ)). My symbol is the Snake of course.

Our roosters are very happy to have a year named after them! And I'm now craving Chinese food, which is a common occurrence. Very interesting post about the differences in the signs - I did not know that. I used to know what my sign was, I'll have to look it up again.
