Are you looking for something fun to do today in support of a great cause and provide some exercise for you and your dog? Why not go to the Charlotte Weenie Walk?
Charlotte Weenie Walk, previously a bi-annual event in Charlotte and now planned to be a quarterly event, was created to bring the community together to share in the love of the dachshund breed, as well as to create awareness for the breed’s need in the Charlotte community. The event is hosted by Charlotte Weenie Walk and Chapman's Dachshund Rescue in York, South Carolina, whose mission is to "do whatever possible to find the needy doxie a forever home."
Today's Weenie Walk is taking place in Freedom Park, located at 1900 East Boulevard, from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. ALL dog breeds are welcome to participate. Come and walk in support of this cause even if you don't have a dog! After the walk, you can can head over to OMB Brewery to play and have some German libations and food!
