Are you looking for something fun to do today in support of a great cause and provide some exercise for you and your dog? Why not go to the Charlotte Weenie Walk

Charlotte Weenie Walk, previously a bi-annual event in Charlotte and now planned to be a quarterly event, was created to bring the community together to share in the love of the dachshund breed, as well as to create awareness for the breed’s need in the Charlotte community. The event is hosted by Charlotte Weenie Walk and Chapman's Dachshund Rescue in York, South Carolina, whose mission is to "do whatever possible to find the needy doxie a forever home."

Today's Weenie Walk is taking place in Freedom Park, located at 1900 East Boulevard, from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm. ALL dog breeds are welcome to participate. Come and walk in support of this cause even if you don't have a dog! After the walk, you can can head over to OMB Brewery to play and have some German libations and food! (4150 Yancey Road-Charlotte-28217)

Nina, I have a neighbor with two of these dogs, and that would be a lot of ankle biters in one place!

Nina,

How fun, we had a neighbor with a doxie, who was a very smart dog.  She and our black Lab were great friends.  Your title had me thinking of hot dogs at first glance.  Happy Saturday.  A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel ~ hi Alexandra... how funny that you mentioned hot dogs... I had given some thought initially to saying something in the title that we weren't talking about hot dogs! Those doxies are very, very smart dogs, I've found. We had friends in Amsterdam who raised miniatures. They were an absolute hoot. I'm not that "big" on small dogs, but I loved these little guys. There was one in the pack named Ajax who adored my husband and wouldn't leave his side whenever he was there and would even insist on sleeping with him.

Nina- how cute is this!  One of the dogs we had, when I was a child, was half dachshund and half chihuahua but looked more like a dachshund.

Oh, my, gosh, Nina, I have to send this link to my team member Barbara. She has a dachshund and another little dog. They are so adorable. I used to love giant big dogs but nowadays I'm more attracted to the smaller ones. They take up less room in bed. Try sleeping with a Great Pyrenees. Legs out, you against the wall.

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents ~ good morning, Elizabeth... I'm not much of a small dog person myself... but doxies and King Charles Cavalier spaniels and Papillon's always get me. We had big dogs, who had their own beds in our bedroom and that's where they slept. Only Oliver, the cat, gets to sleep in my bed.

Roy Kelley ~ had a lovely weekend, Roy... warm and sunny. Not so sunny today, unfortunately, but 66 degrees. I heard that some snow was heading your way into New England. Hopefully, it's the last of the year.
