~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~

Do you sometimes feel like your FB marketing is like being in the Bill Murray movie, Groundhog Day? Eventually, even successful choices if done over and over will begin to become less effective. This week try something out-of-the-norm and see how your readers react. It can be as simple as a question or photo message or as elaborate as a contest. Just mix it up and see what transpires. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Did You Know...According to Statista, 81% of U.S. adults aged 18-29 use Facebook. 78% for 30-49, 65% from 50 to 64, and 41% of those aged 65 and up. Are you marketing to any of those demographics?  ;-)

Here is a drill I periodically go through with a friend to gain perspective and check if my perception is what others see. Ask them to review your FB Biz Page and sum it up in one word. If you are thinking informative and they say bland, you know the content you are sharing needs to be more relevant. If you are going for classy and they say cheesy, you need to make some changes. Try it but make sure you are thick skinned enough to accept their analysis and make the necessary updates without getting mad.

PLEASE stop by the 5 Facebook Business Pages below, LIKE their page, and leave a comment. It is always nice to reciprocate, so if you are visited, please take a moment and return the favor.

As always, enjoy Rainers!

If you don't regular feed the social media stream it is like the music is turned off, no one keeps dancing or singing. Create something worthwhile to engage and help pull folks into your marketing tent subtly. Thanks for the new friends Anita Clark !

Anita, it's easy to go stale and takes a lot of effort to keep putting out fresh content but, the reward is worth it. Thank you for always providing us with resources to keep our pages fresh and attractive!

Hi Anita,
This is a great idea!   But, as you say, you might need to be thick skinned.  I tell people not to ask me a question they don't want the honest answer to.

Good advice, Anita. It's smart to ask trusted folks in our lives to periodically review all of our marketing...but as Carol Williams mentions - be ready for the truth. Ha.

Glad you enjoyed them, Dorie.

My pleasure Amanda. Thanks a bunch.

Each and every week, Roy. Lord willing!

Carol: It can be tough to hear but is sometimes necessary.

Debb: Especially if we ask someone who will not hold back.

It is a quick barometer that can help us refocus or continue on our path, Kathy.

Good information Anita!

"Eventually, even successful choices if done over and over will begin to become less effective"

Every real estate business owner has to be prepared for the new landscape, as it changed. The truth is, Facebook recent algorithm changes effects real estate agents dramatically,  it is the new reality. If you're a real estate professional looking to survive in Facebook business landscape, there's only one way forward, stop wasting your time and money on a social network who is changing its algorithm daily,  it is going against you.If you’re relying on Facebook`s traffic to stay profitable, you’re in the wrong place.Using Facebook  might seem to be a good thing,  as it creates new opportunities for your real estate business to reach massive audiences. But it also means you can lose the hard work and the time you put in building your audience overnight.

Hi Anita

As always your tips on using Facebook are such a help. I like the idea of trying some different strategies to engage other - I find I do a lot of the same things over and over. I also like the idea of getting feedback from others.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for including my facebook biz page on your list this week. I appreciate the support!

Question: does it make a difference if you "like as your page" or "like" from your personal facebook profie?

HOMEiZ.COM Real Estate Technology

When a Page owner sees that a Page likes them rather than a typical Facebook user, they’re likely to be intrigued to check out what your Page is all about. Make a practice of liking other Pages as your Page rather than your personal profile.

HOMEiZ: It can be difficult to find a footing but there are still good options for those who understand FB ads.

We are creatures of habit, Jeff.

Diana: Would love to see an article in the FB Fridays Group about your experience with getting feedback.

Debe: It is always an eye opener for me.

Damon: I do both but I definitely like to go biz to biz.

Thanks Myrl. Glad you thought so.

Isn't that the truth! Have a blessed weekend, Gabe.

Anita:We have done many experiments with Facebook and I can tell you,  to find a footing is almost a mission impossible. The reason for that is a daily changes in their algorithm.Facebook became to be an ad platform and not a real social network. So, agents who will want to achieve success there,  will have to pay to play. Many agents do not have the sources to play their. Yes,  you can catch a fish once in a while,  but to say it is worthwhile the time and efforts you spend to post relevant content to get the exposure , is a waste of time.Go figure how to satisfy their algorithm.

I will respectfully have to disagree HOMEiZ. I and other agents are getting a steady stream of clients and even more prospects from FB. While I do advertise the ability to attract and capture new leads is easy enough regardless if money is spent. Of course, one person's wasted effort is another person's reward (and vice versa).

Richie: I just know what works for me. ;-)
