Happy New Year!
Today is the day many people make promises to themselves. Tomorrow is the day many of those resolutions will have already been broken.
Personally, I'm not a believer in resolutions. If something needs done, I should just be doing it without the aid of a calendar. Now whether I'll ACTUALLY do it is a whole 'nother ballgame :)
One of the keys to real estate success is the ability to maintain focus on the important.
It's VERY easy to stay busy, but busy isn't always good if it's busy doing the wrong things.
I can spend day after day tinkering with my website's cosmetics, but if I didn't add content, what good was it?
I can blog daily (or even more often), but if I don't choose the right topics I'll never get the phone to ring. I know the more posts I write about subdivisions, patio homes, new construction and long tail home searches, the better my odds of a consumer finding me. And yet, I may go a week between my bread and butter evergreen posts while I play in the blogging sandbox. Focus grasshopper....
Reading great blog post after blog post and listening to webinars full of fantastic ideas doesn't accomplish much if I don't bother to implement the elements that I know can help (e.g. yes, I REALLY need to get better at asking for reviews).
For me, one of my tools for staying focused is tracking where my business comes from: blogging? sphere? referral? Seeing those categories clarifies the effectiveness of my activities.
So will you be able to maintain focus in 2019? Do you know what works for you?
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help!
