Orchids, Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA

 

Our 54th wedding anniversary was on Wednesday, June 12th and we decided to take a day trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. It takes a little over two hours to get there from our home if the traffic is not too bad. The weather was perfect and the flowers were beautiful. Click on the link to view the website.

When you visit Longwood Gardens, be sure to spend some time in the Orchid House within the very large conservatory. The conservatory covers over four acres and has many rooms under glass. The orchid displays are constantly refreshed and you will want to take many photographs.

Before moving to Florida Longwood Gardens was the place to capture great shots of orchids then Corkscrew Swamp (now Sancturary) presently Naples Botanical Gardens fills the bill.
