Help Clear Charlotte's Pet Shelters On Saturday, August 17th!
Saturday, August 17th is Clear The Shelters Day sponsored by NBC Charlotte, as well as by NBC and Telemundo-owned stations in cities around the country. Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption initiative whose purpose is to find fur-ever homes for homeless pets. Since 2015, with over 900 participating shelters, more than 263,000 pet adoptions have taken place as a result of the national Clear The Shelter Day initiative.
Animal shelters typically become overcrowded in the summer months because of spring litters. On Satuday, help find fur-ever homes for Charlotte's homeless pet population. Many shelters have agreed to waive or reduce adoption fees on Clear The Shelters Day. All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
