Grateful for so much good food today and everyday! Living on Maui is the best!
Living in Hawaii means access to good fresh food every day of the year. Not only from our own gardens, but also from local shops and farmers markets, and restaurants.

We usually have something growing and eat our own produce all the time. These days it's oranges and star fruits from the orchard, and pasture raised beef and wild pork in the freezer. We have our own egg laying hens, though sometimes I wonder if they aren't pets more than producers!

You can find a farm market on any day of the week if you know where to look on Maui, with a big array of locally grown fruits and vegetables, especially tropical fruits. Many strange and exotic types of vegetables are eaten by a diverse population who call this place home.

With so many great restaurants to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to grab a bite. Most places strive to use local ingredients, to provide the freshest and healthiest meals to their customers. Being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean means we can get super fresh and tasty seafood every day. Sashimi, sushi, fish and chips... you name it!

We really appreciate and enjoy all the bounty from the land and sea here in Hawaii, and try to support the local farmers and fishermen. That's 365 days of good eating. We are so lucky and thankful to have access to so much.
Happy Thanksgiving!
