And Then I Wonder...
And Then I Wonder... It's now the second full day of Winter. The length of day light became shorter and that was certainly noticeable to me over the last couple of weeks. Each day a bit more. Or a bit less. Depending on your perspective.
Marking moments while being mindful of milestones. One year coming to a close and the arrival of a new one. But I also remember that it was a year ago(December 22 actually) that I returned to writing posts here on AR after a year and some time away from doing so. I also look towards late March 2020 as I pass ten years as an ActiveRain member. These are but a few of the moments to remember. So much to experience and to enjoy. Each day. This Winter. Spring and Summer and then Fall.
Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.
Victor Hugo
He who marvels at the beauty of the world in summer
will find equal cause for wonder and admiration in winter. John Burroughs
Both the Winter and the Summer Solstices are expressions of love.
They show us the opposition of light and dark, expansion and contraction, that characterize our experiences in the Earth school so that we can recognize our options as we move through our lives.
