And Then I Wonder...

And Then I Wonder...

And Then I Wonder...  It's now the second full day of Winter.  The length of day light became shorter and that was certainly noticeable to me over the last couple of weeks. Each day a bit more.  Or a bit less.  Depending on your perspective.

Marking moments while being mindful of milestones.  One year coming to a close and the arrival of a new one.   But I also remember that it was a year ago(December 22 actually) that I returned to writing posts here on AR after a year and some time away from doing so.  I also look towards late March 2020 as I pass ten years as an ActiveRain member.   These are but a few of the moments to remember.  So much to experience and to enjoy.   Each day.  This Winter. Spring and Summer and then Fall.

Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Victor Hugo

He who marvels at the beauty of the world in summer

will find equal cause for wonder and admiration in winter.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    John Burroughs

Both the Winter and the Summer Solstices are expressions of love.

They show us the opposition of light and dark, expansion and contraction, that characterize our experiences in the Earth school so that we can recognize our options as we move through our lives.

Dear Michael Jacobs - I remember what it was like when you weren't on ActiveRain. It didn't feel good without you. Your stage of recovery which allowed you to get back to ActiveRain was so gratifying! You are an integral part of our life here on ActiveRain's Social Media. Some will insist this is just virtual reality but the reality is you do exist and people do care about you and others that go MIA.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the joy and happiness you can imagine. Whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall, you are never alone on ActiveRain. In matters of social media, AR is a collection of really good people, their thoughts, photographs, poems, and ideas which encourages a lot of pondering and reflection. Virtually speaking, we have many different kinds of friends with a lot of counsel and wisdom. People, like yourself who write to inspire serve as a mirror, reflecting back to the special person each one of us really are in the "so called" real world.

Merry, merry Christmas and the best 2020 to you!

As I walk along, I wonder
A what went wrong whit our love
A love that was so strong
And as I still walk on
I think of the thing's we've done
Together, while our hearts were young
I'm a walkin' in the rain
Tears are fallin' and I feel a pain
A wishin' you were here by me
To end this misery
And I wonder, I wa wa wa wa wonder
Why a why why why why why
She ran away
And I wonder where she will stay
My little runaway
My run run run run runaway
I'm a walkin' in the rain
Tears are fallin' and I…

John Henry, Florida Architect - I can't(and wouldn't/couldn't compete) with your knowledge of songs, lyrics and interpretations.  You, sir, are one of those masters we encounter at different points in life.  I am privileged to "know" you through ActiveRain.  Be good.  Stay wise.
