58th Annual Festival in The Park returns September 16-18. Festival in the Park, held in Charlotte's Freedom Park, is one of the Queen City's longest-standing traditions since 1964, featuring art, music, food and family activities. The festival will feature 200 artists and craft exhibitors and nearly 1,000 entertainers. Friday: 4:00 Pm - 9:00 PM | Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM | Sunday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM. The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is featuring its new exhibit "Music & Museum: From Warhol to Besquiat." You'll enjoy a blending of art and music of string quartets inspired by the exhibition "From Pop Art to Now: Warhol And His Legacy." Sunday, September 18. Old Mecklenburg Brewery's Annual Mecktoberfest: September 16-18 and September 23-25. This is one of Charlotte area's biggest Oktoberfest events each year. You can enjoy Mecktoberfest Märzen Lager, live music, pretzels, lederhosen, sausages, dirndls, bier-filled steins and the popular das boot. Festival hours are 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays; 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays.

Charlotte International Arts Festival: begins Friday, September 16th and runs through October 2nd. The annual festival features 200+ curated attractions of imaginative visual and performing arts from creative international and local artists to celebrate diversity. Many of the event are free. Kyiv City Ballet at Davidson College, Duke Family Performance Hall on Sunday, September 18th at 7:30 PM. The company will be performing a mixed repertoire program ‘Tribute to Peace” that they have choreographed while in France. Two of Ukraine’s prima ballerinas: Krystina Kadashevych and Oksana Bondarenko will perform with the company on their US tour. Tickets: $12-$22.

Union County Heritage Festival: the 9th annual (and free) family-friendly celebration of life in Union County with kids activities, food, live music, vendors, demonstrations, story tellers, educational talks, the Wild Turkey 5K Trail Run, 4H Expo, and more. Saturday, September 17th from 9:00 AM till 4:00 PM.

NoDa-Hood Festifall Market: the eclectic NoDa neighborhood in Charlotte will be home to the FestiFall Market, including a display of 70 diverse, small and nearby businesses, live DJs, and food and drinks on Saturday, September 17th. 3rd Annual Charlotte Brunch Festival: at The Ruth on Sunday, September 18th from 1:00 Pm till 4:00 PM. You'll be able to enjoy live entertainment, beverage sampling, and brunch bites crafted by local chefs and restaurants. Cost of brunch items will range from $3-5. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hope Vibes , a local nonprofit focused on developing creative strategies to end homelessness.
